V Madrone CELLARS

V Madrone Cellars and our 3.5 acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard are located at 3199 St. Helena Hwy. North (Highway 29) just two miles north of St. Helena.  V Madrone produces just 500-700 cases of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon each year from our estate vineyard and approximately 200 to 300 cases each of Chardonnay, Old Vines Zinfandel and Petite Sirah sourced from select Napa Valley vineyards. Wine Club 

The V Madrone Club V 2010 Spring Release includes two bottles each of 2008 V Madrone Chardonnay and Zinfandel Old Vines and will be available for new members only through May 15, 2010. The Fall Release will include 1 bottle of 2007 V Madrone Cabernet Sauvignon and 2 bottles of  2008 Petite Sirah. V Madrone 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon 750 ML (562 Cases)                 $100
The V Madrone 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested in two lots in October 2005 from our then four year old single site estate vineyard. It was aged 22 months in 88% French oak and 12% American oak barrels (65% new, 35% one year old) and bottled in August 2007. This Cabernet shows beautiful expressive notes of blackberry, plum compote, black licorice, wheat toast, graphite and wet earth. The palate is congruent with the nose in the abundance of dark fruit, depth of character and firm, yet supple tannins.

V Madrone 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon  750 ML (680 Cases)                $100
The V Madrone 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful, complex wine with initial aromas of black cherry, allspice and chocolate followed by an extremely long lasting finish. It possesses a firm core of hillside fruit tannins that soften upon aeration. This wine was aged 22 months in spicy and subtle French oak (90%) and the more vibrant and edgy American oak (10%). It was racked five times in the barrel, allowing clarity and oxygenation to progress naturally. No fining nor filtration was utilized prior to bottling this expressive and ageworthy wine in August, 2008.

V Madrone 2005 St. Helena Petite Sirah 750 ML  (197 Cases)  -      Sold Out

V Madrone 2007 Oakville Petite Sirah  750 ML  (227 Cases)                  $45
The V Madrone 2007 Petite Sirah was harvested from a beautiful single site vineyard in Oakville and was blended with 11% Old Vines Zinfandel. It was aged 18 months in 50% new American oak and 50% in once used French oak barrels and was bottled on April 14, 2009. The V Madrone 2007 Petite Sirah is a big, fruit forward wine, that exhibits a deep ruby-purple color with decadent aromas of toffee, wet earth, plum and manzanita berry and enjoys a full palate of rich satsuma plum jam, dusty cedar box, musk and layers of chocolate mousse cake.
